About
TimeGarden is a free app for managing your time, organizing daily activities, and tracking your own growth. The project combines simple productivity tools with a visual progress system, symbolized by a growing virtual garden.
What it is
TimeGarden is a mobile app designed for people who want to better organize their time while keeping track of their progress across different areas of life.
The app lets you plan and check off activities, track statistics, and analyze the regularity of your actions. One of its core features is Time Focus mode, which helps you set aside dedicated time for studying, sports, rest, or other activities. Focus statistics displayed as a growing garden are a beautiful way to track progress.
The project is developed as an open-source app, with an emphasis on simplicity, high configurability, privacy, and no financial barriers to entry.
The problem it solves
Many time-management tools focus on extensive task lists, notifications, and paid features. For some users, this turns managing productivity itself into just another chore.
TimeGarden aims to simplify this process and combine time organization with the ability to track long-term progress. The project's goal is to create a tool that helps build consistency without requiring paid subscriptions.
Who it is for
The project is aimed primarily at young people, especially pupils and students, who want to better organize their time and track their growth across different areas.
The app can be used for studying and exam preparation, as well as for regular sports, pursuing interests, or mindfully planning rest.
Context
TimeGarden is being built as a technology project within the Zwolnieni z Teorii program by students from Poznań County.
The idea grew out of a need for a simple tool that would combine time management with long-term tracking of personal progress. Instead of building yet another app centered on task lists, the project focuses on showing users how their daily actions add up to growth over the long run.
Principles
The project's key principles are:
- fully free
- no ads
- as much user privacy as possible
- highly configurable app
- data stored locally on the device
- ability to export and import data
- open source code
- simple and clear interface
- development driven by user feedback
Who is behind it
TimeGarden is created and developed by a duo of students carrying out the project as part of Zwolnieni z Teorii.
The team handles both the app's development and the project's communication, promotion, and partnerships with organizations and local partners.
